Wiltshire - Buzzards and Kites
The buzzard & red kite hide is now open for autumn bookings. Dates are always limited and are dealt with on a first come, first served basis.
A wonderful opportunity to photograph and study two of Britain's iconic bird of prey species in a natural setting. Wild Buzzards and Red Kites come to a farmland site on the Marlborough Downs along with Ravens, Jackdaws, Carrion Crows & Magpies. You have the chance to take images of them interacting and feeding as well as creative shots of them against the surroundings. A new drinking pool/pond has been created where you can capture bathing shots too.
•Heated, insulated and fully waterproofed hide with toilet in adjacent room
•Three lens ports for improved shooting; keeping cold air out & warm air inside the hide
•WiFi available in the hide
•Lens suggestions for action pictures use 300/400mm & portrait 500/600mm
•Bring tripod heads or bean bags to mount on an internal shelf
•One way glass for improved visibility for watching the action but you shoot through the ports giving better quality results
•Currently a maximum of three people in the hide, however if you book alone (single person price) you will have sole use of the hide
•Toilet and hand sanitiser available at the hide

Cost: £180 for one person, £300 for two people and £420 for three people for an all day session
Booking your hide session:
To book, please view the availability calendar below and decide on a suitable date. Then email Oliver to book your session. Due to changes in payment we are not asking for PayPal payments upfront. Once confirmed with Oliver, your date will be booked and you pay the farmer when you visit the hide.
This year's hide season will run from 18th October 2021 to 15th April 2022.
